Reconstruction of School Shelters

Reconstruction of School Shelters

We focus on reconstructing and equipping school shelters to provide safe spaces for hybrid and offline learning during wartime in Ukraine. These shelters are designed to protect students and teachers while ensuring uninterrupted education. By creating secure and functional environments, we help preserve the right to learning even in the most challenging circumstances.

About Project

The ongoing war in Ukraine has profoundly disrupted the education system, leaving many schools unable to provide safe spaces for children to learn. However, a significant portion of these shelters fail to meet necessary standards for temporary protective structures, and often cannot accommodate all
students, and lack the comfort needed for long-term use.

Reconstruction and equipping of these shelters are critical to ensuring education continues in a secure and supportive environment, even during wartime. These efforts protect students and teachers during air raids while creating adaptable learning spaces for hybrid and offline education amidst the challenges of conflict.

The availability of a safe and well-equipped shelter in schools ensures the sustainability of the educational process during wartime: it enables the transition to offline or blended learning and allows for the organization of educational and recreational activities while staying in the shelter.

A winter under fire

As russia continues to bomb Ukrainian power infrastructure, leaving civilians freezing in the dark, we bolstered our Crisis Emergency Response Project by procuring 28 Oukitel P1500E Plus charging stations and 19 MaXpeedingRods MXR2300 inverter generators. These units are vital for maintaining humanitarian hubs. This equipment ensures a reliable power supply for heating, medical devices, and communication, providing a lifeline for communities facing extreme winter conditions and systemic energy blackouts.

Trained means prepared: the car for training units

In December 2025, we strengthened the Tactical Medicine Training Unit of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation by adding a fully equipped Volkswagen Crafter to support medical training and humanitarian missions across Ukraine. With infrastructure under constant attack and limited mobility, the new vehicle ensures safe transport of instructors, trainees, and essential equipment. It enables mobile trainings in remote areas and supports delivery of critical medical supplies, including trauma kits and protective gear.
