At the invitation of Razom for Ukraine, representatives of The Prytula Foundation USA took part in one of the world’s leading cross-industry festivals — South by Southwest (SXSW). The event brought together tens of thousands of professionals from over 100 countries, including leaders in defense, security, innovation, and civil society.
Together with Razom for Ukraine and the Borvyter Military School, the Foundation showcased Ukrainian-made defense technologies — particularly drones — and shared insights into the unique experience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
Key messages we shared:
Ukraine is not only defending itself — it is leading in modern military technology and innovation.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have unmatched experience in 21st-century warfare and the ability to adapt quickly.
We are not simply offering products — we are advancing the idea of Ukraine’s victory as a global security priority.
What we heard in return:
“We had no idea Ukraine was developing such advanced defense technology.”
“How can we help?”
“Is it possible to invest in Ukrainian defense tech?”
“We’re sorry your country isn’t receiving stable support.”
What we observed:
Many Americans across the political spectrum express support for Ukraine, but often lack clear guidance on how to engage meaningfully. While public sympathy is strong, actionable information and direct calls to support are still missing. At the same time, large companies remain cautious due to political uncertainty in the U.S., which slows decision-making on investments and aid related to Ukraine.

What we achieved:
Our presence at SXSW helped us establish dozens of new connections with potential partners, investors, and representatives of civil society. We significantly raised awareness about Ukraine’s defense innovations and received follow-up interest in deeper collaboration, including requests for closed-door briefings and presentations within professional and investment communities.
Our path forward:
We will continue to position Ukraine as a valuable technological partner and keep it in the global spotlight. To grow international support, it’s essential to communicate Ukraine’s story with strategy and clarity — avoiding political generalizations and focusing instead on shared goals: Ukraine’s victory and global security.
